1 min read
So I finally realized I havn't updated my journbal since my last date with that one boy. Which was a long ass time ago for those who don't know. I didn't really have anything to say, I guess. Just wanted to remind you all that I really DO have a life of my own and things and stuff happen in it sometimes. Oh screw you, I'm gonna go play more of them fancy vidya games.

First journal entry ever, eh? Well then, better make it worth your time. Or not, either way I can count you're reading this as a small victory on my part. Now, to the dear friends I have aquired, whether I know you or not, here is some dialogue.

I got to see Across the Universe the other day. If there's one movie I would suggest for someone to see, if they could only see one movie in their life, I think that would be it. Oh good lord, that was an incredible movie. I sat there with my jaw hanging half the movie, shifting between OMG COLORS to OMG Joe Anderson is teh SEX, and finally OMG this movie DOES have a point!! Srsly, color. Bam, in your face psycho hippie colors. The movie itself is damn near 3 hours long, and it felt like it took about 15 minutes to watch, at no point was it boring or pointless. It jumps around a lot in the beginning, and finally settles down and things start to fall into place and then you're like "OH, I get it. That was clever." Though I have to admit, I didn't like Lucy, she was irritating. I saw no real reason why she and Jude fell in love in the first place, it didn't seem to fit with her character, and they never really explained why they loved each other so much, or if they were actually that impotant to each other. That bit seemed a bit sketchy, but the romance portion was actually not such a big part of the movie as I thought it was. What I really got from it by the end was that, even if you have money and status, you're not going to be happy unless you can be yourself. So ultimately, if you want to be happy, only you're going to be able to make yourself happy, so do something about it! If you wanna be a dirty hippie, drop out of college and become a dirty hippie! If you want to fight the war, join an activist group! If you want to jump ship and create beautiful works of art in another country, you do that! More power to ya, baby!

So yea, my new favorite movie, on the same level of awsomeness as Pan's Labyrinth.

On an almost unrelated topic, Eddie Izzard is so freakin' insane, I love him. If you've seen Across the Universe and don't know who I'm talking about, remember the circus scene? Mr Kite, the ringleader with the racoon eyes, is played by Eddie Izzard, the world's greatest transvestite stand up comic. He will rock your socks in your face. Go see that movie!
